PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Do you want to save money?

Preventative maintenance is the key to saving money with spa and hot tubs.

Here are some tips:

Keep up with the water chemistry!

This means, check your water chemistry every week and make sure you have the correct pH. This is the single most important thing you can do.  The majority of spa repairs are caused by neglected water chemistry.

The reason this is important is that if the pH gets too low (below 7.2) the water becomes acidic. This in turn will corrode pumps, heaters, pump seals etc.

It is 100% guaranteed that if you neglect the water chemistry or if you do it incorrectly you will have costly repair.

It's not rocket science to learn and it's not as easy as the spa manufacturers make it sound like.  It will take some time to learn.

One of the services we provide is regular maintenance of your spa. A technician come to your house, most of the time 2/month, and maintain the water chemistry for you.

Drain and Clean the spa every 3-6 months

The older the water gets the more difficult it is to maintain the water chemistry. The water gets saturated.

Every 3-6 months the spa needs to get cleaned thoroughly with and acid solution.

You can do this yourself or we can provide that service for you.

Have your spa checked once a year by a very skilled technician

Preventative maintenance always pays off.

A skilled technician (someone who has been doing spa repair for 10 years minimum) can spot problems before they escalate into something costlier.

Do not attempt to repair the spa yourself

Our experience over the last 14 years doing spa repair in Los Angeles is that it's much better to have a skilled repair technician repair your spa.

Yes, it may cost a little bit more (not much more when all your efforts are included).  I can't even begin to tell you of all the times I've gone out to fix someone else's repair.

It's just not worth it - unless - you are very knowledgeable in electronics, electric, water chemistry, pumps, motors, control systems and fluid dynamics.  It's not as easy as it seems.

Have a professional do the work.
